Monroe Savings Bank, SLA is a community thrift institution located in Williamstown, New Jersey. We have served the Monroe Township community since 1870 and have prided ourselves on serving the needs of our community in a friendly and professional manor.

 

Our main office is located on Main Street in downtown Williamstown. We also operate two branch offices, both of which are located in Williamstown and both of which actively participate in our local community.

 

Our primary mission is to provide housing related and retail oriented financing to our customer base.

 

As the needs have grown, the Association has also attempted, in a limited way, to provide secured financing to the commercial sector of our market place. To accomplish this goal, the Association attempts to acquire deposits through an array of financial services and products, using such deposits to be responsive to the needs and wants of consumers and businesses at a reasonable profit.

 

Consumer Awareness plays an important role in minimizing theft, therefore we have supplied you with several terms and methods used by others to secure your personal information.

Vishing and Smishing - Cell phone calls and texts that tell consumers their credit and/or debit cards had been compromised, and then asked recipients to call a phone number to provide personal banking information to have the cards reactivated.

 

Phishing - is the practice of obtaining personal consumer information by sending out a legitimate-looking email that leads consumers to an equally legitimate-looking web site where they are asked to enter financial information. Often the email will refer to suspicious activity on the account and include a link that takes a person directly to a screen to enter financial data. The web sites are phony and the information is used to assume the person's identity.
